Lin and Henri dive head-first into a passionate love, but Lin's past doesn't remain in the past.
After an Olympic swimming career, Lin seeks a new challenge in open water. She's been training to cross the Channel for years. The fact that some swimmers never return from this effort feels more like a motivation than a warning to her. From childhood on, she would ask her father to drop her into the water. Time after time, almost to the point of drowning.
A few weeks before the big crossing Lin meets Henri, an underwater welder who also thrives in the face of danger. They embark head-first on a romance and reach great heights together, but also risk pulling each other down.
Inspired by Oek de Jong's successful novel.
