In the sultry Lost Highway, reality gets mixed up with fantasy in a horrifying way, or is it the other way around?
To drive along Lost Highway is to surrender to one big trip: a saxophonist with a marriage on the verge of bursting, the mysterious man threatening him, that videotape on which he appears to kill his wife and his completely new identity. This road is not a straight line but rather a web, and the truth is always just out of reach. We can't promise whether this new restoration offers answers, but it will be a great movie experience for sure.
Lost Highway is Robert Aldrich's adaptation of the noir classic Kiss Me Deadly, but with even more fatal women and mysterious events than the original. Lynch described his narrative as a “compelling examination of parallel identity crises in a world where the concept of time has become dangerously out of control.
